Interacting with influencers can be extremely beneficial as 92% of people trust influencers much more than brands. The influencer market grew from $1.7 billion in 2016 to $9.7 billion in 2020. In 2021, the market soared to $13.8 billion. In 2022, this is predicted to move to a $15 billion industry. Our online platforms are more crowded than ever. There is becoming less and less time to catch your user’s attention. A highly effective way to combat this is by using interactive content whilst promoting your business. Interactive content requires interaction from your audience and empowers the user, creating a dynamic, 2 way experience. 93% of marketers believe that interactive content is effective in educating its buyers, and 79% of marketers said that combining interactive content with other content marketing tactics increases message retention. Personalisation is key in today’s current climate as consumers want to feel valued by brands and be offered something that benefits them directly. With the rise of TikTok to being the most used website platform of 2021, using video, particularly short videos in marketing is now more important than ever. By 2022, online videos will make up more than 82% of all consumer internet traffic – 15 times higher than it was in 2017. As users retain messages at a much higher level than with images and content; it is key that you use video throughout your website and social media channels to increase your online presence. 87% of video marketers are satisfied with the ROI of their video marketing efforts on social media, 83% of video marketers say video has helped increase the average time their visitors spend on the page. Social Responsibility

The way that we view brands is changing fast and it is key that your brand values align with that of the consumer.  Businesses have increased social responsibility and are finding ways to incorporate this into their marketing strategy. 77% of consumers are motivated to purchase from companies committed to making the world a better place, while 73 percent of investors state that efforts to improve the environment and society contribute to their investment decisions. 93% of employees believe companies must lead with purpose. You can be a more socially responsible brand by being transparent, and making products/services that serve the community.

Metaverse

When we think of Meta, we immediately refer to Facebook’s 2021 name change, but that is only a fraction of what it to come in the metaverse. The metaverse is a term used to describe the combination of interactive technology such as virtual reality and augmented reality experiences; providing users a whole new way of interacting online. The AI economy is predicted to reach $15 trillion in GDP growth by 2030. We are already seeing big brands find ways to use these new technologies including H&M with their interactive shop, Xbox in gaming and live concerts by Facebook. Although this may still seem a futuristic concept for many businesses, we are sure that there will be some exciting things to come in the metaverse this year for corporations throughout the world.
